On 23 April 2016, at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC), Excellence Student Award ceremony (A-KAWI) was held aimed to celebrate the best students in Pulau Langkawi. This programme was attended by a total of 147 students together with their teachers.
Among the guests of honour who attended the memorable programme was YB Dato ‘ Hj Mohd Rawi bin Abd Hamid, YB. Nor Saidi Bin Nayan, Dato ‘ IR. Haji Nawawi bin Ahmad and also YBhg Tan Sri Khalid bin Ramli as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA).
In the event, the prizes were presented by YBhg Tan Sri Khalid bin Ramli to 147 best students around Pulau Langkawi, who managed to get excellent results in Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR), Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM).
Mr. Mohd Ali bin Makkit as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd. was honoured to sponsored some of the gifts which were presented to the excellent students.
