Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd. (PLSB) yesterday handed over RM366,637.10 of zakat (tithes) to the Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah Darul Aman (LZNK).
A mock cheque for the amount was handed over by the YBhg Tan Sri Khalid bin Ramli Chief Executive Officer of Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) to Langkawi branch Manager of LZNK, En. Burhannuddin Bin Hj Ahmad.
The zakat payment was part of ” Program Mesra Komuniti dan Penyerahan Zakat Perniagaan Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd.” The event also see the launching of new taxi station built by Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd. at Parking B area of Oriental Village.
Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd. also presented contributions to 29 mosques around Langkawi to celebrate the arrival of the month of Ramadhan. A set of multimedia equipment was also donated as part of the program.
